Interested in what I'm doing in Oman?? You can do it too!

That is, if you're a motivated teenager between the ages of 15 and 18 who want to learn about the world first-hand.  Right now, the recruitment and application process for the 2012-13 batch of YES Abroad students is taking place. As a YES Abroad student, you get to work as a Youth Ambassador to one of these countries for an academic semester or year

  • Bosnia & Herzegovina
  • Egypt
  • Ghana
  • India
  • Indonesia
  • Mali (semester only)
  • Malaysia
  • Morocco
  • Oman
  • Thailand
  • Turkey
This year, 55 scholarships will be offered. YES Abroad covers all aspects of the program, including selection and orientation events, airfare, healthcare, placement with a host family, in-country trips, and even a monthly stipend! Through YES Abroad, you get to experience a new culture. You get to learn a new language. You get to make new friends and have a new family. You'll experience things you never could have dreamed of doing in the United States. You'll open many doorways for your future. You'll become more open-minded about the world, and you'll gain a sense of patience. You will make friends in your host community but also will form bonds with the other exchange students--friends who have the same interests and same global perspective as you do.

So go ahead, apply. You never know where this opportunity will take you. Visit for the application.

This program has the potential to completely change your life. It certainly has changed mine.
